Compassionate Solutions

for Challenging Behaviors

Behavior modification is a process, and every dog is an individual so each dog’s timeline might slightly differ from another and that is okay.

Our behavior modification program is designed to address specific behavioral issues with a comprehensive, personalized approach.

Here’s how we work towards success:

  • Minimum 4 weeks: Because behavior modification relies not just on learning new behaviors, but also changing emotions as well, it requires more time to address properly. Because of this, we require a minimum of 4 weeks stay.

  • Building a Relationship: We focus on establishing a strong, trusting bond with each dog, which is crucial for effective behavior modification. This relationship forms the foundation for successful training.

  • Identifying Triggers: We carefully observe and identify each dog’s specific triggers and behavioral patterns. Understanding these triggers allows us to develop targeted strategies to address and manage them effectively.

  • Custom Training Plan: We create and implement a customized training plan tailored to both the dog’s needs and their owner’s lifestyle. This plan includes practical, actionable steps to address behavior issues in a way that fits realistically into daily routines.

  • Ongoing Updates: We keep you informed with regular updates during the stay, so you’re aware of your dog’s progress and any adjustments made to their training plan.

  • Post-Stay Write-Up: Upon completion, you will receive a detailed write-up summarizing the training progress, behavioral improvements, and any further recommendations for continued success.

  • Lifetime Support: In the form of Virtual Sessions, Phone Calls, Texts, and Emails.

  • Handoff and Follow-Up Sessions: We include a detailed handoff session and follow-up sessions to ensure you feel comfortable and confident with the training plan. These sessions help you stay consistent and effective after the program ends.

  • Recommendations and Referrals: If needed, we provide recommendations and referrals to additional resources or professionals to support the dog’s progress moving forward and address any specialized needs.

Testimonials:

“I'm long winded so hang on to your hats here. My husband and I are dog adopters. We must've been lucky with our first 2 because some, but not a ton of work was really needed. We rescued a shepherd mix girl in January and have had A TIME with her. She had separation anxiety, crate escaping (with blood everywhere), flight type fear, tail tucked, very mistrusting of humans. We had the help of a local trainer but our girl still needed a lot of work. Our trainer recommended Charlotte. After 3 weeks this girl is SO MUCH more confident. Charlotte was responsive to all of my texts to check on her and we got pictures through her stay with what she's been working on…” Read More

“We did a board and train while we went on vacation & we couldn’t be happier with the decision to board our reactive German Shepherd with Charlotte!! She gave us a personalized webpage for our dog and posted update videos and photos. It gave us peace of mind and we could tell our dog was having a ton of fun!! Thanks again!!”
