Because of the nature of our in-home boarding space, we cannot accommodate walk-throughs of the space. In addition to preserving the delineation between work and home life, because we care for dogs with behavior challenges including anxiety, fear, reactivity, and human or dog aggression, our goal is always to ensure that their crating space is peaceful for them and undisturbed by strange people or noises that may be distressing for them.
Below are a few pictures so you can see where your loved one will be staying with us. The crating room includes several crates and kennels with fitted covers - these can be easily removed if your dog prefers to pull fabric in with them, but can be immensely helpful for reactive, nervous, or even excited dogs to help them settle in a new space. The small indoor training room is directly off from this space and provides a monitored indoor play space when the weather is bad, as well as a distraction-free space to learn new behaviors.
When we add distractions or do real world set ups, we typically will use the living room area to mimic your home - this is where we will implement relaxation, polite greeting, or other in home protocols to transition to your home.
The yard is primarily used for playtime - either with the friends they make away at board and train or with their trainers. The yard is privacy fenced on three sides, and the back fencing backs up to gas lines and has no activity, and makes for a great spot for reactive dogs to relax.
In addition to these spaces, you can expect your dog to train at pet stores, parks, and training events in a variety of locations as they travel around with us, in accordance with their personalized training goals.
